Building Practical Shiny Decision-Support Tools

A practical coaching offer for environmental professionals who already work in R and want to turn a real, tightly scoped project into a usable Shiny application.

Building Practical Shiny Decision-Support Tools

This is a cohort-based coached experience with two intensive live workshop days and three months of follow-through to help you scope, build, and continue a practical Shiny application around a real project.

What you'll get

01

A real project, not a generic demo

A real project, not a generic demo

Bring your own tightly scoped project and use the workshop to build something that matters to your workflow instead of staying in tutorial examples.

02

Intensive live build coaching

Intensive live build coaching

Work through app structure, reactive logic, feature boundaries, and implementation decisions with support while your application actually moves forward.

03

Three months of follow-through

Three months of follow-through

Keep building after the live workshop through biweekly check-ins, review, and bounded support designed to carry the first version into a usable state.

What actually happens over 3 months?

This is not a generic Shiny class. It is a coached Academy experience designed to help environmental professionals scope and materially advance a real decision-support, analytical, or reporting app.

Before

Before the workshop, we review fit, qualify your project, help cut it to a realistic first version, and reduce setup friction so you arrive ready to build.

During

During the two intensive live workshop days, you work on your own application while we guide the key decisions around structure, reactivity, inputs, outputs, and app scope.

After

Afterward, you continue implementing through six biweekly check-ins, one individual project review meeting, and bounded async review over three months.

How much is it?

$4,500 per participant

This allows us to:

  • keep the cohort small enough for project-specific coaching
  • include qualification and scope control before the workshop
  • provide follow-through strong enough to support real implementation

What that includes:

  • one fit and project-scoping call
  • one group readiness and setup call
  • 2 full-day live workshop sessions
  • 3 months of coached follow-through
  • 6 biweekly cohort check-ins
  • 1 individual project review meeting

Bonus support and guarantee

More support than a simple workshop, including bonus support assets and a conditional implementation-focused guarantee.

Bonus support

  • 2 async review windows
  • Shiny project readiness and scoping worksheet
  • starter app scaffold and planning tools
  • maintenance and handoff checklist

Conditional guarantee

If a participant:

  • brings a real project or approved fallback case
  • completes the required scoping and setup work
  • attends the live sessions
  • attends the required check-ins
  • completes the agreed implementation work between sessions

then we will continue supporting them until they reach the defined first-version workshop outcome.

Is this right for me?

This is a strong fit for environmental professionals who already use R, have a real project to build, and want coached implementation rather than generic instruction.

Who this is for

  • intermediate R users with a real project to bring
  • analysts, researchers, and consultants moving toward interactive tools
  • teams wanting an internal app and stronger in-house capability
  • buyers who want coached build support rather than passive training

Who this is not for

  • beginners to R
  • buyers looking for a low-touch Shiny tutorial
  • projects that really need a larger custom Systems build
  • participants without a real use case or without time to keep building afterward
