Data Management for Environmental Teams and Organizations

A practical coaching offer for environmental professionals and teams who need clearer data-management practices to support coordination and create a stronger foundation for future workflows.

Data Management for Environmental Teams and Organizations

This is a coached Academy experience with two half-day live sessions and eight weeks of follow-through to help you leave with a usable data management plan, an interoperable metadata core, and the first operating decisions needed to make better data practice hold in real environmental work.

What you'll get

01

A draft data management plan

A draft data management plan

Build a usable DMP for your real context so planning, stewardship, access, and documentation decisions stop staying implicit.

02

An interoperable metadata core

An interoperable metadata core

Define a practical metadata core or schema that makes data easier to discover, understand, reuse, and connect across projects.

03

A coached implementation path

A coached implementation path

Keep the work moving after the live sessions through eight weeks of check-ins, artifact review, and reusable support assets that help the DMP and metadata practice hold.

What actually happens over 8 weeks?

This is not a simple awareness session. It is a coached experience designed to help environmental professionals and teams produce a first usable operating pack through preparation, applied workshop work, and structured follow-through.

Before

Before the workshop, you complete intake, clarify the main data-management challenge you want to address, and gather any useful current-state context so the DMP and metadata work start from reality.

During

During the two half-day live sessions, you draft a usable data management plan, shape an interoperable metadata core, and make practical decisions about documentation, stewardship, and coordination in a way tied to real environmental workflows.

After

Afterward, you continue refining and applying those outputs through four biweekly cohort check-ins, one implementation meeting, and async artifact review.

How much is it?

$2,000 per participant

This allows us to:

  • keep the cohorts small enough for meaningful review and discussion
  • ground the workshop in real participant contexts instead of generic examples
  • provide follow-through strong enough to support actual implementation

What that includes:

  • one intake diagnostic and readiness call
  • 2 half-day live workshop sessions
  • 8 weeks of coached follow-through
  • 4 biweekly cohort check-ins
  • 1 individual implementation meeting
  • 2 async artifact reviews

Bonus support and guarantee

More support than a simple workshop, including reusable implementation assets and a conditional guarantee tied to a usable first operating pack.

Bonus support

  • lightweight data-management planning worksheet
  • metadata-core template
  • stewardship-role checklist
  • project kickoff checklist and decision aids

Conditional guarantee

If a participant or team:

  • brings a real project, program, or organizational context
  • completes intake and pre-work requirements
  • attends the live sessions
  • attends the required check-ins
  • completes the agreed implementation work between sessions

then we will continue supporting them for free until they have a usable first operating pack in place for their context.

Is this right for me?

This is a strong fit for environmental professionals and teams who need practical data-management improvement tied to real work and want to leave with concrete planning and metadata outputs, not just policy language or tool talk. It is especially strong as a team option when multiple contributors need aligned practice.

Who this is for

  • environmental teams handling recurring datasets or multidisciplinary project information
  • managers and coordinators responsible for continuity, stewardship, and reuse
  • analysts, researchers, and technical staff who need clearer operating habits
  • buyers who want coached implementation rather than passive awareness

Who this is not for

  • buyers wanting only a high-level awareness session
  • teams whose main need is enterprise platform procurement or implementation
  • organizations expecting one rigid system to solve every workflow
  • situations where no real workflow or stewardship challenge can be brought into the work
